Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday morning as we could begin to see accumulating sleet and freezing rain in some areas by the late afternoon, continuing into Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Dangerous cold accompanies this system. North Texas is under an Extreme Cold Warning that goes into effect Tuesday night preparing for this bitter cold. Low temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday mornings will be in the teens with wind chills below zero. This will be pipe-freezing cold, so be prepared for the frigid conditions.

The NWS Fort Worth TX issued a winter weather advisory at 12:27 a.m. on Tuesday valid from 5 p.m. until Wednesday midnight. The advisory is for Grayson, Fannin, Denton, Collin, Tarrant, Dallas, Johnson and Ellis counties.
