Two tracker maps from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and Central Pacific Hurricane Center show how the paths of Hurricane Ione and Tropical Storm Keli are forming. Hurricane Iona formed on Monday after undergoing rapid intensification. Shortly after Iona formed, Tropical Storm Keli also developed.

Tropical Storm Keli is expected to weaken to a tropical depression, the National Hurricane Center said late Tuesday night, July 29.

Hurricane Iona rapidly weakened early today as it tracked well south of the state, while Tropical Storm Keli raced westward on a path also keeping it far from the Hawaiian Islands, forecasters said.
