LEXINGTON, N.C. — A Lexington woman is facing multiple charges of animal cruelty following the discovery of five malnourished dogs on her property, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Looper is talking about the Lexington Animal Shelter. Brian Ozment said the conditions have been status quo for nearly two years. “Nothing but animal cruelty,” Ozment said.

In 2017, Lexington County handled 2,391 stray cats at its animal shelter. Since feral cats aren’t considered adoptable, many of those cats were destined to be euthanized.
