The Volusia County Council has delayed talks about a possible rural boundary charter amendment, a tool that can be used to limit development, because of a bill in the Florida Legislature.

Fifty-eight wildfires were burning around Florida as of 10:30 a.m. Friday. The largest wildfire is the 344 Fire in South Florida, which has burned more than 25,000 acres and is 30% contained.
