Right now, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a wanted man who escaped deputies and may have a gun on him.

UPDATE: (6:15 P.M. Wednesday, April 23) – A pilot is being checked out for what fire officials are calling “minor” injuries after their plane crashed in a wooded area of Mason County.

Mason County Chief Deputy Chris Zerkle said he managed ... He had taken off from the airport in Gallipolis, Ohio and was making a turn to return to the same air strip when the plane went down.
