Emergency personnel responded to a lakeside area between Rogers and North Bend after a tornado touched down Monday evening.

Storms are likely to start developing shortly after 4pm and will continue to grow in coverage and intensity into the evening.

From Sunday evening through Monday, Lincoln saw 2.29 inches of rain, 1.31 of which came Monday when severe storms swept through eastern Nebraska, according to the National Weather Service.
