Oklahoma City will soon have a professional basketball arena rather than an arena in which professional basketball can be played.

Fresh off an NBA championship, the Thunder should remain a title contender throughout Paycom Center's final years and when the new home opens. When the new OKC arena opens, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren will still be under contract.

Renderings for the new $900 million downtown Oklahoma City arena, which will host the Oklahoma City Thunder and events of all types, were unveiled Wednesday at the State of the City address hosted by OKC Mayor David Holt.
