Oklahoma City will soon have a professional basketball arena rather than an arena in which professional basketball can be played.

First renderings of the new Manica-designed Oklahoma City arena that will be home to the NBA champs Thunder were made public by OKC mayor David Holt on July 16, 2025.

Fresh off an NBA championship, the Thunder should remain a title contender throughout Paycom Center's final years and when the new home opens. When the new OKC arena opens, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren will still be under contract.
