They led the New York Knicks by 20 points in the second quarter and by 15 late in the third. But in the fourth quarter, the Pacers’ offense stalled, and they finally found themselves on the wrong end of a double-digit comeback as the Knicks rallied for the 106-100 win.
The Knicks (94.88) place third in pace among teams remaining in the postseason, barely surpassing the Minnesota Timberwolves (95.43). The Pacers (99.03) rank second behind the Oklahoma City Thunder (100.46). The Knicks, though, were on their way to solving the issue before worsening it themselves.
