Daszmar Lockhart, 37, was arrested Tuesday by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and charged with four counts of indecent liberties with a child, two counts of statutory sex offense and one count of rape.

A local track coach is facing felony charges after allegedly sexually assaulting multiple underage girls, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD detectives have arrested and charged a local track coach for various crimes against children, according to a news release. The release states that on September 5, police began an investigation on 37-year-old Daszmar Lockhart after an adult victim reported she was sexually assaulted multiple times by Lockhart.

A man who operates his own track and field training company and has a travel track team in Charlotte has been accused of rape and indecent liberties with young athletes, one who was just 11 years old at the time,

All three victims were female minors and being privately coached by Daszmar Lockhart at the time of the assaults, a CMPD police captain said.
