Travis Hunter is one of the best two-way players to enter the NFL Draft, and he wants to play both ways at the next level. A team that drafts Hunter can fill two needs at wide receiver and cornerback, if that team chooses to not limit Hunter to one position.

Hall of Famer Chuck Bednarik was the last true two-way player in the NFL, and he finished his career in 1962. Deion Sanders, Hunter’s coach at Colorado, was a returner in addition to his full-time role as a cornerback and played a little wide receiver.

Hunter became a top prospect by starring for Colorado on offense (96 receptions, 1,258 yards, 16 total touchdowns), and defense (36 tackles, four interceptions, 11 pass breakups), with his efforts earning him the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Now, Hunter is reportedly tracking to be the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 draft.
