Universal has announced a new theme park with 'thrilling rides' and 'several themed lands,' but it's location is not in Florida or California.

Just one month before it is set to open its highly-anticipated Epic Universe expansion in Orlando, Universal Destinations & Experiences announced today that it will proceed with previously-teased plans to build a new theme park in the United Kingdom.

The first Universal theme park in Europe will be built in the UK, the government has promised. The attraction would be constructed on the site of the former Kempston Hardwick brickworks near Bedford and would create an estimated 28,000 jobs before opening in 2031.
