Two "WWE SmackDown" stars are receiving tons of praise internally for their efforts and toughness throughout WrestleMania season and beyond.

A WWE Superstar who has been surprisingly absent from Monday Night Raw has now given an update regarding their injury status.

Priest and McIntyre performed during the "WrestleMania 41" card in a street fight. McIntyre won the match after delivering a Claymore with Priest's head colliding into a steel chair. While some thought the finish marked the end of their rivalry, the two will do battle at least one more time.

Cody Rhodes' continued absence from WWE since his WrestleMania 41 loss to John Cena has left everyone perplexed.

WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on May 16 against the NHL and NBA Playoffs. According to Wrestlenomics, SmackDown averaged 1.290 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.36 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

When SmackDown first moved its broadcast home to the USA Network and grew from two to three hours earlier this year, 2025, it was widely thought that this change would only be temporary. The main expectation within the wrestling community and among WWE fans was that the show would go back to its usual two-hour slot by about June 6th.

Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 1.29 million viewers on the USA Network, down 11.3% from the previous week. It’s the lowest audience for the show since November 15th of last year.
