Treasury yield remained below 4.5% amid continuing signs the economy is gradually cooling.

Treasury yields were higher on Friday, as investors weighed fresh data showing that jobs growth slowed more than expected in January while wage growth increased more than anticipated. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note was up about 2 basis points at around 4.

U.S. Treasury yields were higher on Friday following the release of key January jobs data. The 10-year Treasury yield rose 4 basis points to 4.479%. The 2-year Treasury yield was last at 4.245% after rising by more than three basis points.

Treasury yields rise as the U.S. jobs market looks tighter than expected. January payrolls decreased to 143,000 from an upwardly revised 307,000 in December. That was less jobs created than the 169,000 forecast by economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
