Alabama finds itself firmly in the College Football Playoff race, but it likely can’t have another loss and still make the field, already with two losses on the season. Mercer is next before Oklahoma on the road and Auburn at home in the Iron Bowl. Forget the names of those teams, though. Alabama is certainly trying to do so.

Georgia is ranked No. 12 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, which were unveiled Tuesday, but the Bulldogs are the first team out of the latest 12-team playoff bracket. Kirby Smart's squad suffered its second loss of the season, a 28-10 dud at No. 11 Ole Miss that puts the Rebels in and the Bulldogs out.

The Georgia Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the 2024 season this past Saturday as they were handled by the Ole Miss Rebels on the road. The loss was the Dawgs' first loss to a team not named Alabama since November of the 2020 football season and will sure cause the Bulldogs to plummet in tonight's rankings.
