Strong storms continued to move across Alabama on Sunday night after a very busy day. However, a tornado watch has expired for south and east Alabama, and the threat for stronger storms appears to be lessening, though it is not over.
Survey teams with the National Weather Service confirmed 5 EF-1 tornadoes as well as an EF-0 tornado during severe weather between Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6. Five people were injured in the Tuscumbia tornado, according to NWS.
