A chemical called dimethyl sulfide popped up in an analysis of exoplanet K2-18b’s atmosphere. On Earth, it’s only made by living organisms.

Researchers at Cambridge University's Institute of Astronomy have found evidence that could support proof of life on K2-18b, a large and distant planet that's approximately 700 trillion miles away from Earth.

Astronomers claim they've found the most promising signs of possible life on a planet outside of our solar system.
