Three dogs surrounded a couple in their backyard and attacked them, leaving a 62-year-old woman with serious injuries that later killed her, Missouri police said.

Police are investigating after a woman was mauled by dogs in her Walnut Park West backyard and later died at the hospital. Keshia Anthony is devastated at the loss of her mom, who she identified as Gladys Anthony.

According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, at around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night, officers were dispatched 5900 block of Theodore Avenue with reports of a woman being attacked by multiple dogs in their backyard.
