Heineman was hit by a car traveling at a low speed as he crossed a street by himself not far from the team hotel shortly after the Canadiens returned from practice Monday afternoon. As lucky as Heineman was to avoid serious injury, he is still expected to miss three to four weeks with an upper-body injury.

The team announced Tuesday that the 23-year-old Swedish forward was out with an upper-body injury after being involved in a pedestrian accident.
