Strong to severe storms are possible today with two rounds. A cool down is expected for the second half of the week.

A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY as two rounds of storms could impact the region. The first round being a morning round – exiting through mid-morning – strong wind and brief risk of a tornado can’t be ruled out.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Tuesday for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms. Stay weather ready today with the risk of multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

Another closed low will be sitting over the region for several days, bringing us dreary, wet, cold weather for some time. The good news is this rain will be well spread out over the next few days, so right now there are no flood concerns.

Parts of our area are under the risk for severe weather tonight, including strong winds and a chance for hail.

Prepare for a cool day in Eastern Kentucky. Today’s temperatures are expected to reach the upper 60s and low 70s.
