BOISE, Idaho — GasBuddy predicts Americans will spend less money on gasoline in 2025 than they did in 2024. GasBuddy, a PDI company, released its 2025 Fuel Price Outlook highlighting 2024 as the third consecutive year of lower gas and diesel prices.

CLEVELAND — Gas prices have dropped in Northeast Ohio, with the average price in Cleveland now reaching $3.02 per gallon. Drivers in Akron saw gas prices fall by 17 cents within the last week, according to data released by GasBuddy early Monday. That brings the city's average to $2.95 per gallon.

Drivers can expect lower prices at the pump in 2025. According to GasBuddy's 2025 Fuel Price Outlook released Tuesday, gas prices are expected to fall for a third consecutive year.

The reprieve at the pump was brief as Peoria area gas prices went back up after dropping last week. According to the GasBuddy website, prices rose 1.2 cents a gallon in the past week for an average of $3.

In an annual outlook, Boston-based GasBuddy forecast that the price of a gallon of gas nationally will average $3.22 in 2025. Meanwhile, the average is expected to be from $3.12 a gallon to $3.51 in Florida. That is slightly lower than the forecast for 2024 of $3.19 a gallon to $3.51 a gallon.
