CBS News Los Angeles Southern California air quality monitors issued a smoke advisory on Wednesday because of the Hughes Fire near Castaic. The warning will last until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Firefighters made progress on the more than 10,000-acre Hughes Fire Friday, which sent thousands fleeing after sparking near the Los Angeles County community of Castaic a day earlier.
