The Israeli army said on Saturday it had called up reservists to bolster its forces along the borders with Lebanon and Syria, amid fears of a regional escalation as tensions with Iran reach unprecedented levels.

Lebanon will aim to keep its airspace open, a minister said on Saturday, hours after officials said the airspace would be shut down in the evening amid Iran-Israel conflict.

Launching weapons from within their territory forces adversaries to look not only outward but also inside for threats, one expert said.

"Hezbollah is committed to the ceasefire agreement, even though Israel has not respected this commitment over the past period," the spokesperson said. "It continues to kill, assassinate, and attack areas, including entering border villages and remaining at the five points."
