The largest college sports governing body in the country made the change following President Trump’s executive order banning trans girls from girls’ school sports.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association changed its transgender participation policy, disallowing transgender women from competing on women’s teams, one day after President Donald Trump banned transgender women from women’s athletics at colleges and schools.

NCAA women’s competitions will be limited to student-athletes assigned female at birth while the men’s category remains open to all.
