As San Antonio mourns the loss of at least twelve residents swept from roads during the record flood event Thursday, prayers can be assigned to names, or at least seven of them so far. The death toll from the floods continues to rise, nearly by the hour, and Bexar County officials are beginning to tell us who they are.

The flash flood risk in the region is a factor through Thursday, but the highest risk could be Wednesday night and Thursday, forecasters said.
