The Saudi Pro League is emerging as a possible destination for Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez this summer. BBC Sport understands that a potential move to the Middle East for the Uruguay international has been explored this transfer window with intermediaries actively working on trying to broker a deal.

The Saudi Pro League has continued to splash the cash in order to attract some of football’s biggest names since the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane first moved there in 2023.

Darwin Nunez is attracting interest from AC Milan and Al Hilal as Liverpool could sell the striker this summer. Neither club has yet bid for the £85m forward but Liverpool would be willing to let him go for the right price after signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial £69m.
