Unfortunately for me, because the idler pulley mounting bolt was loose ... one of the largest producers of drive belts in the world, low belt tension is the main reason for squealing belts.

Prusa Research aims to make it a bit easier with a web app that can measure tension via your mobile phone’s microphone and diagnose belt tightness, at least for their MK4 and XL printers.
