Tadej Pogačar has powered to an impressive stage win on the first day in the Pyrenees to take back the Tour de France yellow jersey.
The multi-ramped 13.5km ski station climb has hosted some barnstormer yellow jersey battles, most recently when Vingegaard and Wout van Aert turned the screw on Pogačar to romp to a victory that sealed the Dane’s first Tour de France win.

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) stamped his authority on the Tour de France as the race visited the high mountains for the first time, attacking 12km from the top of Hautacam to score a dominant solo stage 12 victory.
Tour de France riders have applauded for a minute before the 12th stage in memory of Samuele Privitera, the 19-year-old Italian who died after a crash while racing in Italy.
