Kayla Thornton's season-ending knee injury leaves a significant gap for the 10-12 Valkyries as they host the 7-17 Wings, who are coming off a convincing win against Seattle.

The Valkyries shot 30.3% from the field in the first half and trailed by as much as 11. Janelle Salaün and Tiffany Hayes combined to score 16 points to keep the Valkyries within striking distance as the Wings took a 36-30 lead at halftime.
