NASA Image Reveals Flurry of Six Tropical Cyclones Active at Once
In the Southern Hemisphere, the space agency notes, the tropical cyclone season typically runs from November to April. The newly published image was taken by NOAA-20's Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite—or VIIRS, for short—which can measure an assortment of environmental properties.
