Hiroyuki Sanada won the Golden Globe for best lead actor in a drama series for his portrayal of Yoshii Toranaga in FX’s Shōgun. Following his 2024 Emmy win in the same category, the achievement cements Sanada’s awards season dominance and highlights his groundbreaking success as a Japanese actor in Hollywood.

Demi Moore, Sebastian Stan, Adrien Brody, Kieran Culkin, Fernanda Torres and Zoe Saldana all picked up acting awards in the film categories at this year's Golden Globes.

Meanwhile, the immigration saga “The Brutalist” and Adrien Brody solidified their Oscar contender status, and Fernanda Torres made history by becoming the first Brazilian to win a best actress Golden Globe for her work in “I’m Still Here,” a quarter-century after Torres’ mother, Fernanda Montenegro, was nominated for “Central Station” in 1999.
