Earlier today, the legendary, grizzled rock band the Who announced its "The Song Is Over" North American Farewell Tour — and lo and behold, the first stop will be Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

The band, which by the 1970s had become one of the world’s biggest touring bands, easily filling the largest U.S. stadiums, will play their first gig at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Aug. 16.
