The Atlanta Falcons selected linebacker Jalon Walker with the 15th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Last week, it was revealed that the rookie was dealing with a minor hamstring injury. Head coach Raheem Morris was optimistic about Walker’s availability at training camp starting this week.

According to team reporter Terrin Waack, five players, including Mooney, are sitting out at Monday's practice. Cornerback Keith Taylor, linebacker Malik Verdon, linebacker Troy Andersen and offensive lineman Storm Norton were all sidelined. Andersen is on the PUP list and Verdon is on the NFI list.

With fans starting to panic, head coach Raheem Morris provided an update prior to Thursday's practice. According to Morris, Walker is dealing with a minor hamstring injury and won't be out long. "The kid wants to go out there and I won't let him," Morris told reporters. "He is wearing me out trying to get out there at practice."
