The 10th leading scorer in NBA history, Carmelo Anthony will take his place among the elites in the Basketball Hall of Fame this fall, ESPN reports.

The Hall of Fame class of 2025 will have Carmelo Anthony as one of its most visible members. Melo will be a Hall of Famer.

The basketball world figured Carmelo Anthony would not have to wait long to add his name to the list of the game’s immortals. Confirmation came Wednesday when ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that the 10-time NBA All-Star has been notified he’s been elected into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025.

Anthony was unable to find a team until the Blazers signed him to a free agent contract in November of 2019. Anthony played 127 games for the Blazers over two seasons, averaging 14.3 points in 28.3 minutes per game.

Knicks fans have repaired whatever blisters might have formed, invariably giving Anthony loud ovations when he returns to the Garden.
