New Kent native Grayson Torrence will compete in the top 24 tonight on "American Idol" at 8 p.m.

Shala Ferrell, former Grundy County standout, is the new girls basketball coach at Middle Tennessee Christian School. Ferrell replaces Hannah Jones, who resigned in February after four seasons.
