GREEN BAY – Green Bay will never host a Super Bowl. The reason is simple: The event is too big and Green Bay is too small. Fortunately, that's not the case for the NFL's second most important event, the NFL draft, which Green Bay will host on April 24-26. But the Super Bowl, that's another matter.

Just don’t call it the NFL’s first three-peat. While all eight teams that won back-to-back Super Bowls before Kansas City did it the past two seasons lost before making it back for a third, the NFL has had two runs of three straight championships — both by Green Bay.

Mike Holmgren’s tenure as Packers head coach in the 1990s reestablished a winning tradition in Green Bay that continues today.
