Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. reveals that his legendary father turned down a role in the original Days of Thunder.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame will induct Kurt Busch, Harry Gant and Ray Hendrick in the Class of 2026.

Jeff Burton, Harry Hyde and Randy Dorton were the next-highest finishers who didn't make the cut. Hendrick was voted in on the Pioneer Ballot with 31% of the votes.

Team owner Rick Hendrick and crew chief Harry Hyde were sitting in a passenger car close to victory lane as Petty left to talk with NASCAR officials after being told the car was illegal.

Jeff Burton finished third, followed by Harry Hyde and Randy Dorton. Hendrick received 31% of the “pioneer” ballot votes. Bob Welborn finished second.

Ray Hendrick and Harry Gant were also voted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Tuesday, while executive Humpy Wheeler was named the Landmark Award winner for his contribution to the sport.
