HELENA, Mont. (AP) - The Montana Historical Society and the state Department of Administration are calling for the state’s Capitol complex to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Construction began Monday on a $644,000 Tribal Flag Plaza to be built on the Capitol grounds in Helena to honor Native American contributions to Montana as well as the rest of the nation.
