Toby Keith was honored at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Keith died on Feb. 5 after a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62.

During his time with the Sooners, quarterback Baker Mayfield became close friends with country music star Toby Keith, a die-hard OU fan and Moore native.

Keith was inducted alongside John Anderson and James Burton on Sunday (Oct. 20). The "Austin" singer played "I Love This Bar" to close a three-song tribute.
