Michael Sumler of Kool & the Gang died Sunday in a Georgia car crash. He was 71. Sumler, known as "Chicago Mike," was a promoter and choreographer for the iconic R&B, soul and funk group.

The 71-year-old musician died near Mableton, north of Atlanta, on Sunday night when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
