In a welcome boost for the Dallas Mavericks, NBA insider Shams Charania provided a new timeline for injured Kyrie Irving. According to reports, there’s “optimism” that All-Star guard Irving will return from his torn ACL in January and is expected to recover fully.

The nine-time All-Star Irving, now 33 years old, tore the ACL in his left knee during a game against the Sacramento Kings in early March ( video here ). ACL tears are generally 10-12 month injuries, so Irving may end up on the early end of that timeline if all goes according to plan.

However, the Mavericks have another star player who will complement Davis, currently listed on the Mavericks' injury report. Kyrie Irving is as dynamic of a player as they come with ball handling skills that set him miles apart from his competition.
