Alec Kimmelman, MD, PhD, a renowned researcher and radiation oncologist whose discoveries have created new hope for patients, has been named director of the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center.

Laura Hope has been named interim Superintendent/President of College of the Desert. The Board of Trustees approved an employment agreement with Hope on Thursday. Hope officially starts on July 1.
