A nine-month-old infant was diagnosed with a radial artery aneurysm, a rare and dangerous condition. After comprehensive diagnostic tests, a successful surgery was performed to remove the aneurysm.

Use of the radial artery was associated with about a 27% reduction in deaths, a 26% reduction in heart attacks and a 38% reduction in repeat procedures.

In addition, there was a 27% reduction in risk of all-cause mortality (HR, 0.73; 95% confidence interval, 0.57–0.93) at 10 years associated with the radial artery graft.
