Stefan de Vrij scored a last-gasp goal to secure what could prove to be a precious point for Inter Milan in the title race as he helped his team avoid a third straight derby defeat to AC Milan with a 1-1 draw.

MILAN (Reuters) -Inter Milan came from a goal down to salvage a 1-1 derby draw against AC Milan with Stefan de Vrij snatching an added-time equaliser at the San Siro on Sunday, as they missed the chance to go provisionally top of the Serie A standings.

Inter defender Stefan de Vrij scored a stoppage-time equaliser to deny AC Milan victory in Serie A. Sergio Conceicao's side looked set to complete the league double over rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina when Tijjani Reijnders put them ahead just before the break.

Inter Milan came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in the derby against AC Milan at the San Siro. Tijjani Reijnders gave Milan the lead just before halftime, after Inter had two goals ruled out for offside.
