The family of an 8-year-old autistic boy run over by a Boston Public School bus last December filed a lawsuit against the district’s embattled transportation provider, Transdev, alleging negligence on the part of the company and its driver.

Dash cam video shows the bus veering off the road and hitting student Reginald Oates and his school aide on the sidewalk just outside of the Curley K-8 school in Jamaica Plain.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has already called for an independent investigation into Transdev, Boston Public Schools' troubled bus operator.
