Outlander fans are bracing for another Droughtlander after the end of Season 7. While STARZ has confirmed an eighth season, the wait will be long. Find out what to expect in the series' future and why the delay is happening.

The 14th episode of the season 7 was packed with drama, as the saga with Rob Cameron rumbled on as he turned up at Lallybroch but Brianna was armed and ready for him. Thankfully, Ernie and Fiona saved the day by getting her to safety in their van.

The show did get renewed for an eighth season (YAY!) but…it’ll be its last (not yay). Starz announced in January that it’ll be wrapping up the Outlander story with season 8, which means the network will figure out how to end the show without knowing how the book series ends, à la Game of Thrones (here’s hoping they pull off a better ending though.)
