A weather alert was issued by the NWS Raleigh NC on Sunday at 12:03 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 1 p.m. The alert is for Granville, Vance, Warren, Halifax, Franklin, Nash, Wake, Johnston and Harnett counties.
Weather Alert Day on Sunday due to possible severe storms
Storm threat windows on Sunday look to come in two rounds. The first is between 6 a.m. through noon. The second is between 3 p.m. through 7 p.m. The first round of storms will arrive near sunrise. These will again be decaying storms that have developed to our west. The severe threat with these is low but not zero.
