A Bruce Springsteen cover band was fired from an upcoming show over the legendary rock star’s criticisms of Donald Trump. Guy Fleming, bassist for No Surrender, said the owner of Riv’s Toms River Hub in Toms River, New Jersey, canceled the band’s May 30 show because “Bruce made comments that upset him.”
“In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” Springsteen told the crowd as he opened his set, according to the tour’s website.
