Concord Baptist Church has announced it has broken ground on a new education and worship building at 1012 Concord Rd.

Humbled by scandal in recent years, the former Bellmead First Baptist Church has a new owner, a new pastor and financial backing from groups that include the First Baptist Church of Woodway.

The church is located at 6001 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, Kannapolis. Celebrate Resurrection Sunday on March 31 at 8 a.m. with Jerry Harris, and breakfast to follow at Rodgers Park Baptist Church.
