The National Football Foundation has adjusted its criteria for a coach to be eligible for the College Football Hall of Fame, making former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach eligible.

The National Football Foundation has lowered the eligibility criteria for coaches to be considered for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame beginning in 2027.

The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be inducted at a ceremony in Las Vegas in December. Legendary college coaches Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are set to be honored, along with Graham Harrell, who was Leach's quarterback at Texas Tech from 2005 to 08.
